Here at the Rodean we strive for quality of both the food and service so we hope you find your dining experience a pleasurable one . The menus have been created and prepared by Matthew and his team in the kitchen, and where possible we use fresh local produce. You will find Lizzie and her staff more than willing to help you with any dietary needs you my have. Rodean restaurant is situated in the village of Kenton, just south of Exeter. Our proprietor and chef de cuisine is Matthew Tilt. Matthew can trace his family back over 300 years to Kenton. Records show a James Tilt was married in the local church in 1704, whilst the 1851 census shows Matthew's great, great, great grandfather, William Tilt, his wife Ann and two young children William and Mary Ann.

Matthew has a wealth of experience in the catering trade, turning out superb cuisine for some of the best hotels in the New Forest. For the last two years he served as Senior sous chef at the Park Hill Hotel. Before that, Matthew was the Chef de cuisine in the New Park Manor and Head chef at the Whitley Ridge Hotel. Matthew's ability has been rewarded with two AA rosettes
